What Is Non-Destructive Opening?
Non-destructive lock opening uses professional techniques — picking, decoding, impressioning — to operate the lock mechanism without forcing or drilling. The lock cylinder survives intact and your door shows no damage.
For most standard residential locks in Germany (DIN-profile cylinders, lever handles), a skilled technician can open the door in a few minutes with no trace.
When Drilling May Be Necessary
High-security cylinders with drill-resistant cores (RC 3 and above) or locks that have been physically tampered with may require drilling. In these cases, we always:
- Inform you clearly before starting
- Explain why the non-destructive method is not viable
- Offer to fit a replacement cylinder immediately
Key Extraction
If a key has broken off inside the lock, we can often extract it without removal of the cylinder. We carry specialist extraction tools for the most common European lock profiles.
Pricing
Non-destructive lock opening starts at €80 for standard cylinders during daytime hours. Surcharges apply for nights, weekends, and high-security locks. All prices are confirmed before work begins.
